Paying to Look at Real Estate

I heard a call on Dave Ramsey’s show the other day asking about setting up an appointment to look at a lake lot on Norris Lake.  The company who was showing the lots was charging $1,000 for the privelage of looking at the lots during the morning, while appointments to look at the lots in the afternoon were free.  Apparently, mornings were really busy and they weren’t even sure the lots would last until afternoon.

Uh, I’ll pass.

Even if that were true, I don’t think I’d want people who would pay $1,000 for the rights to consider buying a piece of property they could consider buying in the afternoon for free as neighbors.
